  32. The Pentium Pro project was started years ago.  Intel expected that 
  33. Windows would have matured into a pure 32-bit OS by now, so they designed 
  34. a processor that worked great in that mode.  But Microsoft is 
  35. determined to drag out this 16-32 bit transition for about 3 more years.  
  36. After that, we'll all be using the consumer version of Windows NT which 
  37. is a pure 32-bit OS and will allow Microsoft to phase out Win95.
